Hi Dawn, We left my best friend, Charlie, with you in May 2009. He was the most inquisitive and intelligent dog I have ever owned, unfortunately due to a family bereavement we had to let him go to a family with more time for him. I hope he is having a wonderful life with his new family, he deserves it cos' he is the BEST!!!! I would love to know that he is happy

Hi
I have had several boxer girls over the past 35yrs all unique in their own way,and loved them all to bits.I lost my last one nearly two years ago and would dearly love another companion in my life.
I am finding it hard to find a website in North Yorkshire for a boxer rescue centre.
Please could you help?
Thank you
Annette

I adopted Harry and Domino during a year that was very traumatic. I have had boxers for some 30 years and have never looked back. I will now always get my babies from Dawn and Boxer Rescue. That way boxers will always have a home with all of us. Thank you to everyone involved and for your perfect existence. xoxo

Dear Dawn, I was bought up with boxers and have had 3 of my own. My first died at 11yrs and 18mths later we bought two brothers at 8 weeks old. Monty died Nov 08 and Saladin March 2009 they were 7. We are heartbroken still and have wondered about adopting a rescue boxer which brings me to your site. You do a fantastic job I cannot believe anyone would part with a boxer until Jesus calls them back. Heather

Hi Dawn, Just found your web site. Just to say 'thank you' for being at the end of the phone. We adopted a male boxer from you 'Milo'
when he was in desperate need of a loving home due to him being deaf. We already had one hearing boxer 'Halifax' and O what joy it was to see 'Milo' finding his forever friend. Sadly, our old boy 'Halifax' died a few weeks ago and poor 'Milo' has lost his forever friend. You Aunty Dawn were there at the end of the phone trying to help find another forever friend for him to play with. Hopefully, we may have found just the one for him, at the moment he is being checked over as he was found roaming the streets and very thin.We will let you know more by the end of this week. Lots of licks from Milo xxxx

We had two boys, a springer called Harry, and a boxer called George. Harry was 11 and we had to have him put down on the 25th Jan. Now barely two weeks later, he has been joined today, by his brother George who was just 9. Words cannot decribe the pain of losing both our boys over so short a period and our house feels so empty. George was our third boxer. He was so full of energy, even taking him to the vets today. But he had been bringing up food after eating, more and more often, over the past few months. It was originally thought it was due to him gulping his food. The vet tried various medication, but today carried out an xray. It was discovered he had oesophagal cancer, which had blocked the oesophagus completely, and no food or water was reaching his stomache. This is why his weight had plumetted. The vet rang us while he was still under anaesthetic, and said it would be kinder to end his life now, as opposed to him literally starving over the next few days, with his body gradually shutting down. He kept him asleep until we arrived at the surgery so we could all say our goodbyes...I am a grown man of fifty, and my eyes are sore with crying......
I know we did the kindest thing for George, and I know we will feel better with time....................
